[ Design notes ]

This mid-century table lamp is remarkably timeless and looks at home in modern and traditional spaces.

Greta M. Grossman’s mid-century Cobra Floor Lamp is crafted today by prestigious manufacturer Gubi. Inspired by the shape of a cobra’s neck, the lamp’s shade can be bent in all directions thanks to the flexible arm. This makes it perfect for reading or illuminating bedside tables. Upon its release in 1950, the Cobra Table Lamp was awarded the Good Design Award and was subsequently exhibited at the Good Design Show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The flexible arm can be rotated by 360º.
Inspired by the shape of a cobra’s neck.
A mid-century design classic.
