Traditional craftsmanship meets industrial methods and materials in the creation of Marcel Breuer's iconic armchair.

Designed in 1928, Marcel Breuer married traditional craftsmanship with industrial methods and materials to make tubular steel furniture an international sensation. This chair's cantilevered form exploits the material's unique possibilities to ensure long-lasting comfort and flexibility. The iconic contemporary design features neatly woven cane inserts and a strong beech frame.

The Knoll Studio logo and signature of Marcel Breuer are stamped into the base of the chair.
Hardwood beech seat, back frame and arms with a natural clear lacquer or matte ebonised finish.
The chairs cantilevered design provides added flexibility and comfort.
