The hand cream is made with extracts of plants, grasses, seaweed and algae to moisturise and protect. The essential oil fragrance balances the deep woodiness of cedar and patchouli with the pepper of geranium and coriander.
The hand cream features the artwork Magic Hand by Rubenstein, which references shadow puppets and how the eye and the mind can be tricked in a diaphanous kind of awareness. The painting also nods to the idea of paint as a metaphor for things disappearing and appearing. Paint can cover up or reveal something.
Our hand cream and balm are made without GM ingredients, SLS, silicones, parabens, mineral oils, artificial colours or fragrances and is certified Organic and vegan.
The tube is made of 40% recycled material, is 100% recyclable and is infused with a new bio-enzyme. The bio-enzyme ensures that the tube will fully degrade within 1-4 years ensuring full decomposition and no microplastics. This is critical should they fall out of the recycling loop and end up in the natural environment (soil or seawater). Traditional plastic tubes which end up in landfill take 300 - 400 years to break down, leaving microplastics harmful to our ecosystems.
