Pulled from Børge Mogensen's archive of forgotten drawings, this customisable shelving system is a future classic.

The BM0253-1 Shelving System reflects the functional simplicity and enduring appeal of Danish Modern design. Conceived as part of Mogensen’s flexible ‘building furniture’ concept, its modular construction pairs the rich character of walnut with a slender black steel frame. Combining open shelving with practical storage, its clean architectural silhouette provides an elegant and adaptable setting for books, treasured objects and everyday essentials.

Designed by Børge Mogensen in 1953, reflecting his functional approach to timeless and adaptable Danish furniture.
Modular ‘building furniture’ design combines open shelving with practical storage, allowing the system to adapt to contemporary living.
Rich walnut is paired with a slender black steel frame, creating a warm yet architectural contrast.

Wipe wood clean with a soft, dry cloth.
Do not use water or any cleaning products, including furniture polish and heavy-duty cleaning products, particularly those containing ammonia.

Heal’s uses our own specialist two-man crews, who will deliver to a room of your choice. They will fully assemble your furniture, check their work and the remove all packaging, which will be disposed of responsibly.

Contact us and we will arrange for a crew to come out and collect the furniture. There's no charge if it's faulty, but we do charge for change-of-mind returns.
