[ Product Story ]

The Blythe range is inspired by functional, quaker furniture, the Bed featuring considered arched lines and beautiful joinery

Heal's made its name as a furniture maker through the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th century and the Blythe range has been designed to capture that same ethos of functional, quaker inspired furniture. Designed and developed in-house, the Blythe King Size Bed, taking its name from London’s iconic Blythe House home to the Heal’s archive at the V&A, is made from solid oak and oak veneer that has been finished in a clear matt lacquer to protect the wood while also providing a smooth finish. Every element of this design has been considered with the arched lines, beautiful joinery and tall spindle head rest evoking the craftsmanship at the heart of this range.

  • Designed in-house exclusively for Heal’s.
  • Inspired by Heal’s Arts and Crafts heritage and taking its name from London's iconic Blythe house.
  • Turned spindle head rest, arched lines and beautiful joinery create a quaker inspired piece of furniture.
  • Traditionally wood slatted bed for comfort and support.
