Louis De Poortere’s Berber Rug reworks traditional Beni Ouarain-inspired pattern with a contemporary graphic design, woven in Belgium for lasting everyday use.

A modern reimagining of tradition, the Berber Rug from Louis De Poortere draws inspiration from the timeless weaving techniques of Morocco’s Beni Ouarain tribe. Traditionally bicoloured, the design is reworked here with a contemporary palette and a graphic mix of linear and checkerboard motifs. Woven in Belgium on Jacquard looms from 100% polyester, it brings together more than a century of Louis De Poortere craftsmanship with a highly durable, washable and fully recyclable construction.

Louis de poortere rugs can be machine washed to remove the dirt and stubborn marks that regular vacuuming and spot cleaning can’t shift. Every louis de poortere can be washed on a gentle spin cycle at 30°c to restore its appearance and give years of use in the home.
Vacuum clean regularly, do not pull the loose ends, trim with scissors.
Remove spills immediately, blot any liquid with a clean, dry, undyed cloth or paper towel.
