About Heal’s

For over 200 years, Heal's has been at the forefront of exceptional furniture and home design. Founded in 1810 as a family of skilled bed-makers, we've played a defining role in shaping some of the world's most influential design movements—from the Arts and Crafts movement and Bauhaus Modernism to the iconic Scandinavian style.

Today, our passion for timeless, contemporary design remains as strong as ever. As the Home of Design since 1810, we continue to champion our founding values of Good Design, Well Made, and Honest Craftsmanship, curating beautifully designed furniture and home accessories that inspire and stand the test of time.

At Heal's, we're proud of our heritage, but we're equally excited about the future. We're looking for people who share our passion for quality, creativity, and delivering an exceptional customer experience to help shape the next chapter of our story.

About the role

Heal’s is looking for a Trade & Contract Business Development Manager to help grow our Trade business and build strong relationships across the design, hospitality and commercial sectors.

This is an exciting part-time opportunity, working 2 days per week (15 hours) at our Flagship store in Central London, for a proactive, commercially minded relationship-builder to introduce the Heal’s brand, products and Trade services to new clients and industry partners.

You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across Interior Design, Architecture, Hospitality, Property and Commercial sectors. You’ll build a strong pipeline of prospective clients, create meaningful industry connections and work closely with our Trade team to turn opportunities into successful projects.

Key Responsibilities

·        Research and identify new Trade and Contract business opportunities.

·        Build relationships with Interior Designers, Architects, Specifiers, Hospitality Operators and Property Developers.

·        Proactively engage prospective clients and arrange meetings and presentations.

·        Present the Heal’s heritage, product offering and Trade services with confidence and enthusiasm.

·        Represent Heal’s at networking events, exhibitions and industry functions.

·        Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.

·        Work closely with the Trade team to ensure a seamless handover of qualified projects.

·        Maintain accurate records of activity, contacts and opportunities within the CRM.

What you will bring

We’re looking for someone who is naturally well-connected, commercially driven and confident building relationships.

You’ll ideally have:

·        Previous experience in business development, sales or account management.

·        Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.

·        Strong presentation and communication abilities.

·        Experience in luxury interiors, hospitality, architecture, property, design or specification-led industries.

·        An existing network of relevant industry contacts is highly desirable.

·        A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently.

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in growing Heal’s presence within the professional design and contract community, representing one of the UK’s most recognised names in contemporary and historic design, while working on a flexible 2-day-per-week basis.
