Vanity Mirrors

A vanity mirror earns its keep on a dressing table or bathroom counter – the angled, properly lit reflection that makeup, shaving and dressing actually need. Our collection covers tabletop, freestanding and wall-mounted vanity mirrors in brass, blackened steel and timber finishes, with magnification options and integrated lighting on selected pieces.

Vanity mirrors are designed for grooming use – adjustable tilt for different lighting and viewing angles, a substantial weighted base so the mirror stays in position, and often a x5 or x7 magnification option for detail work. Regular tabletop mirrors are usually fixed-position decorative pieces; vanity mirrors are functional tools as well as objects.

If the mirror sits in a poorly lit position (away from a window, in a windowless bathroom), integrated lighting is the practical answer – LED-rimmed mirrors give even illumination on the face without harsh shadows. In well-lit rooms with proper wall sconces, plain mirrors work fine. The decision depends on the existing lighting at the position.

30-40cm diameter or 30x40cm rectangular suits most dressing tables – large enough to see the whole face clearly, small enough not to dominate the surface. Smaller mirrors (20-25cm) work for travel or compact dressing tables; larger mirrors (50cm+) suit hotel-style bathrooms with substantial counter space.

x5 to x7 magnification is the practical sweet spot – useful for makeup application, shaving and contact-lens work without distorting too much. Stronger magnification (x10+) reveals detail but can be alarming and isn't actually useful for most grooming tasks. Look for mirrors with one normal side and one magnified side; this covers both functions.
