    A 25-30cm wide wash bag holds the essentials for a weekend without becoming bulky in a small bag – toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, moisturiser, travel-size toiletries. Larger 35-40cm bags suit longer trips or households that travel with substantial cosmetics. Anything smaller becomes cramped quickly; anything bigger becomes hard to pack.

    Quality leather lasts decades and develops patina with use; canvas lasts 5-10 years and tends to look worn rather than aged. Leather is the long-term investment; canvas is the better practical choice for households that don't mind replacing pieces over time. For a heirloom-grade wash bag or jewellery roll, full-grain leather is the considered choice.

    Not necessarily – tonally coordinated accessories from different makers often read more considered than a matched set.
