Sanderson has been printing wallpapers and fabrics in Britain since 1860, drawing on one of the largest pattern archives in the country. The homeware collections, cushions, throws, bedding, tableware, translate archival florals, chinoiserie and botanical studies into contemporary colourways, printed under licence by specialist UK and European mills.

    The Sanderson archive holds over 10,000 designs dating back to the 1860s, including hand-painted originals by artists who worked for the house through the 20th century. New colourways are drawn directly from those archive materials with the internal design team.

    Dandelion Clocks, Etchings & Roses, Elysian and the Voyage Maison florals are among the most-specified at home, alongside the newer Embleton Bay and Waterperry collections. Each sits differently, Dandelion is graphic, Etchings reads classical, Elysian is softer and more painterly.

    The home textiles are printed under licence in the UK and Europe, using digital print for complex multi-colour florals and rotary print for the larger runs. The original wallpapers continue to be produced using surface and block print at specialist mills.

    Most covers are removable and washable on cool cycles; care instructions are printed on each label. Heritage prints fade subtly with long sun exposure, which is part of the lived-in character rather than a defect.
