The Oscar sofa was designed by Matthew Hilton, one of the UK's most influential modern furniture designers, whose work is held in the permanent collections of the V&A and the Design Museum. Hilton's Oscar range combines generous proportions with restrained British tailoring. He has designed for Heal's, Case and De La Espada.

Oscar pairs a beech hardwood frame with duck-feather wrapped cushions and a high supportive back, producing a seat that feels luxurious without losing posture. The deep seat depth suits lounging, while the upright back works for conversation. Cushions should be plumped daily to maintain their shape.

Oscar is offered in two-seater and three-seater configurations, with bespoke sizing sometimes available on request. The sofa is upholstered exclusively in Heal's own fabric range, which includes linens, wool mixes and velvets. Check the product page for current configurations and fabric options.

A well-maintained Oscar sofa typically lasts 20 years or more, thanks to the kiln-dried beech frame and traditional upholstery. Feather-wrapped cushions benefit from daily plumping and occasional refilling every ten years. The removable covers on many configurations can be professionally cleaned or replaced.
