Decorative Home

Modern home decor is what makes a house feel personal – the considered details that distinguish a thoughtfully styled home from a furnished one. Our collection brings together vases, vessels, mirrors, candles, frames and small sculptural pieces designed to layer onto existing rooms rather than reinvent them.

Start with one substantial piece – a sculptural vase, a large candle, a framed artwork – placed where the eye lands first when you walk in. That anchor establishes the palette and scale; smaller pieces follow once the anchor is in place. Trying to layer in lots of small pieces without an anchor usually creates clutter rather than character.

Tonally yes, exactly-matching no. Pieces that pick up colours already in the room (cushions, art, rug) read as deliberate without feeling matchy-matchy. A small contrasting piece in an unexpected tone often works as the visual punctuation that pulls the rest of the scheme together.

Two or three times a year is enough. Seasonal swaps – lighter ceramics and linens in summer, heavier metals and textiles in winter – keep a home feeling current without constant change. Pieces in storage feel new again when they reappear, which extends the practical life of a smaller decor collection.

Quality pieces hold their value – ceramics from named studios, signed prints, hand-blown glass, considered candle vessels all retain or appreciate in value. Mass-market decorative objects without provenance tend to look dated within a season or two. Buy fewer better pieces rather than more average ones; the home reads as more considered.
