    The house has been synonymous with Danish silversmithing since Georg Jensen opened his Copenhagen workshop in 1904. The catalogue spans cutlery, jewellery, vases, candle holders and decorative objects, with a particular reputation for the Legacy, Cobra and Alfredo (by Ilse Crawford) collections.

    Contemporary collaborators include Ilse Crawford, Jaime Hayon, Henning Koppel and Kristina Dam, each commissioned to produce collections that sit alongside Jensen's heritage designs. Every piece carries the designer's name and the Jensen hallmark.

    The catalogue includes both, the luxury collections are solid sterling silver; the more accessible ranges use a thick-gauge silver plate or polished stainless steel. The care and patina develop differently across the materials, and each is specified per product.

    Solid silver benefits from occasional polishing with a silver cloth; stainless steel and silver-plated pieces wipe clean with a soft dry cloth. Avoid dishwashers for solid silver and the gilded finishes, which can dull the plating over time.
