The London studio handles design, colour development and quality control, with each rug's production location listed on the product page. The multi-workshop network reflects the specific techniques needed for different rug constructions.

    Editions is Christopher Farr's collection of rugs designed in collaboration with artists and designers including Anni Albers, Gunta Stölzl, Alexander Calder, and more recent contemporary collaborators. The collection has become influential in design-world rug culture, bringing gallery-level artistic identity into the rug category.

    Hand-knotted wool rugs from Christopher Farr last 30 to 50 years with proper care, and hand-woven flatweaves last 20 to 30 years. The longevity reflects the craft quality and premium wool content. Care includes rotation every 12 months, professional cleaning every 3 to 5 years, and immediate spot-cleaning of spills.

    Surface dusting and spot-cleaning can be handled at home with a soft-brush vacuum (no beater bar) and a damp white cloth for small spills. Deep cleaning should be handled by a professional rug cleaner familiar with hand-knotted work, as standard carpet cleaning methods can damage the wool and the dye structure.
