4 Seater Velvet Sofas

A 4 seater velvet sofa is the social anchor of a family living room, long enough for three to stretch out, deep enough for proper lounging, tactile enough to make the whole room feel considered. The collection covers high-back traditional silhouettes, low-slung modernist profiles and corner-ready modular layouts in performance velvets built for daily family use.

Most 4 seater sofas measure between 220cm and 260cm across the frame. Measure the room, doorways and any stairwells before ordering, a 4 seater usually needs at least 280cm of wall space to read as proportioned rather than crammed.

Performance velvets, typically polyester-based, are considerably more practical than traditional cotton velvet, resisting spills, crushing and pet claws. In daily use a performance velvet will outlast a cotton or linen upholstery noticeably, provided the pile is brushed occasionally.

Deep greens, petrol blues, burgundies and chocolate browns camouflage marks and absorb pet fur without looking tired. Lighter neutrals, oatmeal, dove, blush, work visually but need more frequent brushing and professional cleaning every 18-24 months.

Most quality 4 seaters in the Heal's range have re-coverable frames, with fabric guides published per product. Factoring a cover change into the 15-year lifetime of the piece is realistic; the hardwood frame and spring base are what justify that kind of long-term thinking.
