Now, more than ever, quality sleep is conducive to improved physical health and mental wellbeing, so it’s important to seek out sound design for your bedroom. Pieces that envelop you in luxury, provide superior comfort and lull you into deep slumber.

Today, all our mattresses are still handmade in the UK using organic, chemical-free or recycled fabrics while being pocket-sprung and hypo-allergenic.

Most recently, we partnered with ARTHOUSE Unlimited, the London-based charity that represents a collective of artists with complex neuro-diverse and physical support needs, on a very special piece of art.
Becky Sheraidah, CEO and Founder of the charity, says: “The collaboration between Heal’s and ARTHOUSE Unlimited showcases the creativity of the artists and provides a platform for them to be seen and respected. It’s a really beautiful way of showing that innovative businesses can ‘do good’ at all levels.
The partnership works in perfect synergy because the piece that the artists created and the level of design that we have developed with them is showcased brilliantly by Heal’s and its own high level of presentation.”
She adds: “The brief was based around the iconic imagery of Heal’s and its history, combined with the artistic style and mark-making of our artists, and how they work together. The interpretation of the artists’ drawings and line-work, using both the ARTHOUSE Unlimited and Heal’s colour palettes, has resulted in a truly unique design.”
A colourful representation of Christmas, depicting movement, celebration and togetherness, the artwork is on currently on display in the seasonal window of our flagship store on Tottenham Court Road.
Explains Becky: “The process of brainstorming was based around the iconic Heal’s staircase that created a circular space at the centre of the artwork from which the piece expands from using inspiration from the store, drawing on the theme of togetherness in a beautiful Christmas home where the artists can experience joy. The result is a beautiful collaboration that clearly represents both Heal’s and ARTHOUSE Unlimited.”
Design and Art Instructor Manager, Zoe Thomas, says: “The artists really enjoyed working together and creating something huge that is seen in such a magnificent setting. They’ve since liked finding the parts that they worked on and how it connects as a collaborative piece, and the feeling of pride that accompanies this.”

“In terms of furniture, I love the Forum sofa, designed by Robin Day in 1964 and reintroduced by Case in collaboration with the Robin and Lucienne Foundation, as it’s an icon of Mid-Century design. It’s available in a choice of fabric and leather with a hardwood walnut or oak frame, featuring a signature exposed finger-joint detail supported by exterior-mounted chrome legs. I’ve also got my eye on the Lazio side table: its cylindrical legs and lacquer finish certainly make a statement and add personality to any space.When it comes to lighting, my favourite piece is the Confetti table lamp, which provides a great way to add a pop of colour to a shelving unit, console or sideboard. Its playful base is made from hand-blown glass chips and is available in three colourways at a great price. Plus, each one is completely unique, so you’ll never spot another quite the same elsewhere.I’m a huge fan of our Amechi quilts, an exclusive collaboration with Heal’s, the designs inspired by traditional African patterns and reinterpreted by the designer. They put a new spin on centuries-old handwoven beaded textiles to add character to modern homes. The handwash and hand lotion from Pelegrims, a sustainable skincare brand made in small batches in Kent, are beautifully packaged and perfect for gifts. They’re made using grapeseed oil, Pinot Noir grapeseed and skin extracts.”

“I can’t wait to curl up with the Jules Pansu Picasso Femme Assise cushion. Made to last, these beautiful tapestry-woven cushions are produced by an award-winning, family-run company in France that was founded in 1878 and feature rich colours and amazing artwork by Picasso.In lighting, it’s all about the Carta Easyfit pendant: delicately handmade from rice paper and a playful update on the traditional paper lantern. It’s a great price, too.Favourite furniture? It’s got to be the Lando sideboard for its luxurious green lacquer finish and elegant curves.I really like the tactility of the Dash recycled placemats and the fact they are made from organic cork and recycled rubber.”
