The story behind this product
This best-selling design is finished in a special edition design of Paul Smith’s trademark colours and signature.
At the core of the design sits Anglepoise’ trademark constant-tension springs, enabling the shade to pivot light in any direction using a smooth gliding motion that can be repositioned with the slightest of touches.
While the profile of this desk lamps slender aluminium arms hails directly from its articulated design, the contemporary shaped shade and low, conical base only adds to the timeless look of the mini Type 75.

Thanks to his massive contribution to the design industry, Paul Smith has been honoured with many prestigious accolades. For example, in 1991 he was made a Royal Designer for Industry and was later knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000.
