The lamp is striking and industrial in its design. Its spotlight-like diffuser is crafted from mouth-blown glass and set upon a shapely aluminium base. Designed By Achille Castiglion
Born 1918 in Milan, Achille Castliglioni studied architecture before bringing his process of 'integral design' to a number of the world's biggest manufacturers. Working closely with his brother Pier Giacomo, Achille designed a series of iconic pieces of furniture and lighting noted for their refined, sculptural approach to modernist design.
