Renowned for her decorative porcelain tableware, Mia Sarosi produces contemporary crafted pieces that are hand thrown and hand painted. The Rainforest Collection takes inspiration from Sarosi's travels through equatorial West Africa, removing her from any scale of tourism to experience one of the few remaining pristine rainforests. It took Mia three days to get into the jungle in Odzala National Park, a huge reserve in the north east of the country bordering Gabon, Cameroon and Central Africa Republic. Once in the jungle, she found the abundance of life hugely inspiring. Back at home in her studio in Oxfordshire, she created the beautifully crafted Rainforest range exclusively for Heal’s that adds new pattern to her existing collections of Octopus and Fireworks.
