The story behind this product

Classic silhouettes inspired Matthew Hilton to design the informal Oscar 2-Seater Sofa for SCP. Retaining its classic charm with a touch of modernity, Oscar features button cushioning as well as expertly turned decorative wooden legs. The sofa’s pared-back silhouette with long straight lines and natural curves lends it a contemporary edge. Slightly lower and deeper than the formal version, this sofa is perfect for more relaxed living spaces.

Matthew Hilton

Matthew Hilton

Designing for leading furniture makers such as Case, De La Espada and SCP, many of Hilton's designs are considered icons with pieces such as his Balzac Chair held in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Working in premium materials such as solid wood, cast iron, and brass, in 2007 Hilton launched his eponymous brand as a place where he could have complete creative control.

Ms Sara Martin I love this sofa - its so comfortable - although firm it feels luxurious - and i love the colour - the only thing is I did not receive any care instructions - what products i should use and how to keep it clean- otherwise perfect !!
