The masterful Red Fuji print formed part of Hokusai’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji landscape series, marking the height of the artist’s career when he was in his seventies. This print is produced by King & McGaw to exacting museum conservation standards using inks and printed on 230gsm, fine grain, smooth art paper to create a perfect reproduction.
Born in 1760 in Edo, today’s Tokyo, Hokusai began painting at the age of six. He has endowed the world with some of the most arresting, evocative and historically crucial depictions of landscape and nature, including his famous woodcuts of Mount Fuji and The Great Wave of Kanagawa.
