The story behind this product

Designed by Matthew Hilton for Case, the Eos Outdoor Communal Bench has been reimagined in a vibrant terracotta hue. The spacious bench is crafted using powder-coated aluminium that won’t rust over time, making it a low-maintenance addition to your outside space. Boasting a sleek and modern form, the outdoor bench is ideal for al fresco entertaining and breakfasts spent outside. Sure to inspire long summer days, the collection is named Eos after the Greek goddess of dawn and bringer of light.

Fully weather resistant and non-rusting.
Used in the VIP enclosures of the London 2012 Olympics.
Awarded the Design Guild Mark in 2016.

Care & Buying Guide

Eos is designed to be totally maintenance and rust-free. Aluminium furniture does not rust, but if the powder coating is damaged it could peel. To prevent this, touch up the surface with a matching car or metal paint. It is extremely hard-wearing and can be exposed to the elements throughout the year.
The aluminium chairs are stackable, and powder-coated ensuring they are anti-corrosive and long-lasting. All tables and chairs are finished with rubber feet to protect the furniture and patio from scratching and excessive noise.
In a garden environment the atmosphere contains many impurities, which over time can create a layer of dirt on the furniture. Should such a build-up occur, then a non-abrasive sponge or soft brush can be used with lukewarm water to clean the surface of the product. We recommend cleaning the product at least once a season.

Meet the designer

Matthew Hilton

Designing for leading furniture makers such as Case, De La Espada and SCP, many of Hilton's designs are considered icons with pieces such as his Balzac Chair held in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Working in premium materials such as solid wood, cast iron, and brass, in 2007 Hilton launched his eponymous brand as a place where he could have complete creative control.
