Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1969, the Eames EA217 hasn’t aged a day in over 50 years. Part of the celebrated Eames Soft Pad Group, this swivel office chair adapts to the body of the sitter with its cushioned medium backrest in upholstered leather. The sewn-on cushions contrast the clean-lined aluminium base, creating a design that looks both traditional and contemporary. Ideal for modern workspaces, the chair can be swivelled, tilted and comes with hard and soft castors for carpet or hard floors.
Choose between black and brown leather upholstery.
Aluminium base comes polished, chrome-plated or powder-coated in deep black.
Can be tilted back and forth and adjusted up and down.

Care & Buying Guide
Leather furniture should not be exposed to direct sunlight and should be kept some distance away from sources of heat.
Superficial dirt can be removed with a damp cloth as long as care is taken not to wet the leather and not to apply direct pressure.
For quick removal of contaminants on polished die-cast aluminium apply a glass cleaner with a clean, soft cloth and subsequently wipe the surface dry with a soft cloth.

In a career that spanned over forty years, husband and wife duo Charles and Ray Eames developed countless ground-breaking pieces of furniture. Cementing their names as figureheads of America’s Mid-century Modern movement, the couple produced a prolific range of designs including the Eames Lounge Chair (1956), DSW Chair (1950) and Eames House (1949) all of which are still to this day heralded for their innovative use of new materials.
