One of the most important considerations in art and design, is use of colour. It can help evoke a mood, inspire feelings of comfort or define a certain style. In this workshop you’ll learn basic concepts of how we perceive colour, and how it can be used to create a harmonious abstract painting.

You’ll be shown simple, effective, watercolour techniques and how to make gestural marks with your brush. With a series of painting exercises, you’ll explore how colours relate to one another, and the importance of tone and hue. The workshop approaches colour in an intuitive way, to help develop your eye for colour and personal style. Led by Michelle Evans of Roxwell Press.
