With a passion for materials and craft, Tim unearthed answers on a journey that crisscrossed the globe, rediscovering ancient craftsmen, their techniques and the pure, natural materials they have used for thousands of years.
Hand Dyed
The Noble Souls upholstery collection has been colored using special dyes that are 100% organic, extracted naturally from different plants, using dye extraction techniques that are hundreds of years old. Indigo dye is used for blues, and gallnut dye for greys and blacks. No other artificial chemicals are used.
Hand Woven
Weaving has for millennia held a noble place in many cultures of the world, as a craft which blends beauty with cultural heritage and day to day practicality. For Noble Souls, the handspun yarn is then handwoven on a large loom. This takes a whole village of women, of all generations, to produce one sofa.
