Product Story
The only Jean Prouvé chair to be made entirely from wood, the dark oak Chaise Tout Bois is expertly crafted today by Vitra. In a similar style to Prouvé's famous Standard Chair, the design was adapted due to the scarcity of metal during WWII. The wood's warm look and feel contrasts beautifully with the chair's industrial, sculptural design. The award-winning chair was the recipient of a prize in the 1947 Meubles de France competition in recognition of its ability to be both high-quality and mass-produced.
