Velvet is a fabric with plenty of heritage. The ancient Egyptians made a similar style fabric as long ago as 2000 BC. To create it, they used process that isn\u2019t too different to the ones we use today to make velvet. However, ancient Egypt isn\u2019t alone in its claim to fame in the history of velvet.
