In the run up to our Edizioni Italiane Supper Club, we meet with pop-up restaurateurs Chuffed and Stuffed to get a taste of what’s in store.
The brainchild of food loving entrepreneur Alessandra Lauria, Chuffed and Stuff create unique dining experiences based around Italian food and culture. A natural at bringing people together around a table, each event combines Alessandra’s passion for food and design with a flair for social gatherings.
Launched in 2016 with sell-out supper clubs across London’s East End, Chuffed and Stuffed use the best local and seasonal produce to re-invent recipes inspired by traditional Italian cuisine. All of their ingredients are sourced from producers in and around Hackney including the Food Assembly, Audacious Veg, Growing Communities, The Five Points Brewing Company and many others.
For our Edizioni Italiane Supper Club, Alessandra has curated a menu inspired by the culinary themes of her home regions of Sicily and Piemonte. Following Ruby Tandoh’s philosophy of “Eat what you want and love,” the six course meal includes such delectable dishes as herb Tagliatelle with wild leeks, cavolo nero, hazelnut and thyme parmesan pesto followed by slow-cooked crispy pork belly in agrodolce sauce and potato puree. Each dish is complemented by a fine selection of Italian wines, chosen by Chuffed and Stuff chefs.
Served within our Edizioni Italiane showroom at Heal’s flagship store, we can’t think of a better setting for Alessandra’s unique culinary experience. Alongside the meal, there will also be live music from singer and pianist Nicoletta Fillela helping to create the perfect Italian inspired setting.
