The quality of the product was not as good as I would have hoped, in that the lacquer on the brass work was inconsistent leading to what appear to be patches of oxidisation : and there were nicks in the brass as a result of the machining process which should have be noted and are not really acceptable. The base seems to be similar to just about any table lamp you might to buy from B&Q upwards. That said , I still like the design of the product but it was very much an 'any thing does' experience.
