Celebrated by Pink Floyd, it’s hard to imagine that there was originally just a rectangular block with two towers. Battersea Power Station was the first large power station in Britain, precursor of the national grid, and Scott was brought in to provide a decorative panache. Although long derelict, the A station (nearest the railway) retains it's Art Deco control room.
